Braindead Animated Gif

This animation was produced as part of my Introduction to New Media Art course. It explores the theme of 'self-performance', depicting the less glamorous reality of spending long hours in front of a computer to create art. While my work has been praised, many don't realize the time-consuming and tedious nature of the process, along with the stress of achieving success in the future. This 2D animation posed a challenge in accurately depicting the perspective of the hand. I experimented with blurring the hand to simulate the out-of-focus effect that occurs when objects are viewed up close. I also focused on ensuring that the drool on my face was depicted with effective squash and stretch, highlighting its heaviness and fluidity.
